On your dashboard
Each consult under Active shows where it’s up to:
- Invite sent — the link has gone out.
- Patient waiting — they’ve opened the link and are in the waiting room. The badge pulses and the dashboard plays a chime.
- In progress — you’re both in the call.
If you’re working in another browser tab, the MedCall tab title flashes Patient waiting until you look.
What the patient sees
While they wait, the patient sees “Your name will be with you shortly” and is asked to stay on the page. Their video starts automatically when you join.
Joining
Press Join on the consult. If you join first, you’ll see “Waiting for your patient to join…” until they arrive.
